Hamid Nazari, Head of the UNESCO Chair on Coastal Geo-Hazard Analysis at the Research Institute for Earth Sciences (Geological Survey of Iran), has authored the new volume Geo-archaeology and Visual Concept — A Scientific Synthesis. The book bridges earth sciences, archaeology, and cutting‑edge visual technologies—including remote sensing, LiDAR, AI, and GIS—to explore how past societies interacted with their environments. With global case studies and a special focus on the Iranian Plateau, the work serves as a key reference for researchers and heritage managers, and is part of Nazari’s six‑month documentary research proposal.
